The Leisure Education Awareness Program gives the children the opportunity to develop appropriate leisure time awareness. This program also teaches children how to conduct themselves appropriately in social settings, create positive self-images and to control impulses. Not only do the children benefit from these activities now, but they may continue to occupy their leisure time once they leave the Kemmerer Village program, by utilizing these activities. Some objectives that can be worked on are: independent living skills, socialization and stress reduction
